Agenda for Discussion at Nov. 8 Web 414 Meeting
Following is an agenda for leading the discussion at the Nov. 8 Web 414 Meeting wherein we will be discussing the BarcampMilwaukee2 experience from the participatory perspective.
A: The Educational Experience
1. What did you learn?
Be prepared to discuss something that you didn't know before BarCampMilwaukee 2.
2. What did you wish you had learned?
Be prepared to discuss something that you had hoped someone would lead a session on, but such a session didn't materialize. Evaluate whether your wishlist is something that might make session worth trying to develop a tech-cafe event around during BarCamp's off months.
B: The Social Experience
1. What was awesome; what really worked from the participatory perspective?
2. How can be build on that so that our non 414 friends continue to share in the social experience year round? Good examples of this are the continued use of the website, discussion group, twitter feed-- but not just blindly.
Someone at some point discussed having $5-cover retrogaming nights somewhere. Is that a route we want to consider and how?
3. What was not so awesome?
How can we improve the social/mixer element? There has to be a happy medium between a campy mixer and the tedious round-robin introductory session at the beginning.
C: Other Stuff:
1. Media: Where your content at?
2. Every good meeting has a time-limited catch-all session.
C: Lets start planning for DrupalCamp.
