We’ll provide what is need to wash them, and we won’t be tossing hundreds of paper plates, plastic cups, and other consumables into a landfill somewhere. [...]]]> OK, in the interest of making things a little greener, and lowering the cost and waste of the event, we would really like it if people could bring their own:

1. plate
2. bowl
3. cup
4. utensils

We’ll provide what is need to wash them, and we won’t be tossing hundreds of paper plates, plastic cups, and other consumables into a landfill somewhere. Good idea? We think so…

(Greener Milwaukee was going to assist us with composting, recycling, and refuse, but they had to bow out. If you can help with these things, please get in touch with us!)

Can you believe OnMilwaukee.com is 11 years old? That means OnMilwaukee.com is going to finish middle school soon. Nice! Milwaukee’s first and only daily magazine has been at it longer than some of the “major media” has had  Web sites.
Do you remember when the Hoan Bridge fell down a little bit in the year 2000? While the rest of Wisconsin’s media had a bridge panic freakout, OnMilwaukee.com, which uses the Hoan’s familiar yellow arch as its logo, simply patched a little band aid on the logo and kept right on trucking. For that, forever, we remain fiercely loyal to OnMilwaukee.com.
