Let's talk about veggies.

Are you interested in starting up a garden? Do you seem to have a brown thumb? Do you like to tell everyone about the 500 pound pumpkins you grow every year?

If so, then this session is for you. This will be a roundtable type discussion about veggies, the art of growing them, and how tasty they are.

Join the fun!

---------------

This ended up being a nice discussion about many things including: Brix gardening, the meaning of organic, various ways to save energy and different ways to use alternate means of generating energy and heating and cooling your house. Thank you to everyone involved.

My thumb was much greener

My thumb was much greener when I lived in California. It's slowly adapting to this area but have limited window space to experiment with. Anyone up for a plant swap?

I will be sadly disappointed if the vegans don't sign up for this one.

Tis OK

I'm thinking of making a rabbit/squirrel/deer soup - and will be waiting to see if the 'pro meat' crowd eats up.

+1 Geek gardening tech and

+1

Geek gardening tech and where it crosses with greener gardening practices is my interest, I guess. Indoor hydroponics for a tiny herb garden ala the AeroGrow, fertilizer/pesticide-free gardening, sustainable farming, etc.

Also growing tasty tomatoes, peppers, and lettuce, which I did on my balcony this summer. Heh.

Awesome. This is the kind

Awesome. This is the kind of stuff I want to talk about. I grow a bunch of stuff in my back yard every year with a fairly hands-off approach. I'm also interested sustainable and organic farming practices. Mainly, I'm really interested to see what kinds of techniques other people are using.

Plus, I always like to meet more people who don't think I'm odd for not eating meat!
