Terrain Map Generation for Use in Second Life/OpenSim
Posted September 18th, 2007 by tbrooks
I will show how to setup and run an OpenSim server, use L3DT to generate terrain maps and how to load the terrain maps onto a 3x3 area of sims.
OpenSim is a BSD Licensed Open Source project to develop a functioning virtual worlds server platform capable of supporting multiple clients and servers in a heterogeneous grid structure. OpenSim is written in C#, and can run under Mono or the Microsoft .NET runtimes.

testing
Actually I am testing OpenSim in a machine, but always, when I try to get a .raw file, made it with L3DT or terragen-Bailiwick, and configure the startup_commands.txt, y get a format error.
Some of us are introducting OpenSim in the spanish community, and I wrote tutorials in our webs.
I am really very interesting in the "how to do" with the L3DT to generate terrain.
i would love to see this, as
i would love to see this, as i have done some sl work for manpower.
