UW-Madison Robotics Team Demo
Posted September 30th, 2007 by zacwitte
I'm trying to convince the team to let me bring our actual robot that completed in Michigan in the Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition in June. If the robot comes, this session will rock your socks off. If the robot doesn't come, it'll be a powerpoint and maybe a few videos.

I'm also going to do a session on the robotics framework called URBI, which can be used in many different applications besides just robots.

robot is coming
Alright so its pretty well for sure that I'm bringing the actual robot so we'll have it driving around barcamp all day, serving drinks and bumping into people like R2D2. Some other members of the team may come to barcamp as well. Seriously. This will rock.
Sounds interesting.
Is that a yellow SICK unit I see on the front(?) of the robot?
I've always wanted to learn more about robotics, and I would be interested to learn about URBI.
yeah, thats a $3,000 Laser
yeah, thats a $3,000 Laser Range Finder (or SICK) on the front. Its worth more than the rest of our bot combined.
