The Informality of Blogging

As the "blogosphere" grows exponentially, we all have the opportunity to give ourselves an online presence. We can offer our services, our opinions, and our personal selves, outside of the professional face we have to present in the real world. That doesn't mean, however, that we should be any less professional in our blog. While not all bloggers are writers by trade, it is still prudent to get a few pointers about writing on the internet.

Editing and proof-reading are key. Double-checking facts is essential. The intent of this discussion is to give a few basic pointers about grammar, usage, and other key elements to keep your blog on track both in consistency and in form. Most blogs I've unsubscribed to have been due to a lack of diligence in basic writing and relevance.
